Eachanari Vinayagar Temple

The temple is at Pollachi Main Road, Eachanari. The idol that is 6 feet tall with 3 feet breadth was being transited from Madurai to Perur, during which the wheel of the conveyance gave away at Eachanari. This temple lays 13 Km away from coimbatore on the pollachi main road. The temple was completed on 03.06.77.

The temple is kept open between 5.00AM to 10.00PM. The special pooja for the idol is done at 6.30 AM and at 6.30 PM everyday. The Moolavar at this temple was actually meant for Perur Patteshwarar temple and since it got stuck on its way from Madurai, Eachanari became the blessed place. It is one of the oldest temple in Coimbatore and dates to 1500 A.D. Special poojas are done during Kiruthikai, Poornima, Amavasya and Chathurthi. Lord Vinayagar is the residing deity of Eachanari Temple.
